Edward M. Stevens Architects, LLC, is an award-winning, small residential architectural firm located in Earth City, Missouri. We are seeking a talented Project Residential Architect with a passion for excellence. This architect will work from our office and have experience in additions, renovations, subdivision / builder homes, high-end custom homes, and multifamily projects.

REPORTS TO: Senior Architect
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years experience in residential construction and remodeling

Proficient in AutoCAD is a must! Please do not apply otherwise. REVIT is a plus

Must have 2015 IRC knowledge and prior experience preparing residential construction drawings for St. Louis County’s plan review with minimal comments

Licensed Missouri Architect is a plus but not required

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field preferred

Experience in all phases of the design process from project planning and concepts through construction drawings with strong technical knowledge and detailing skills.

Positive attitude with proven proficiency in working collaboratively within a team setting in a fast-paced environment

Strong work ethic, someone who takes responsibility for their own work, and who can work efficiently, with accuracy, with minimal supervision, is a must.

A self-motivated individual capable of assuming increasing responsibility for both current and future projects and who, in particular, is interested in long-term employment and growing with the firm

This is a full-time position, local candidates only need to apply. Part-time positions will also be considered for contract work.
Responsibilities:

Attend meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors as required

Capable of coordinating with the structural engineer’s drawings
-
Participate in the design phase development

Organize and prepare design and construction drawings
-
Participate in the development and maintenance of the CAD libraries, standards, and procedures

Field measure and draw existing conditions for renovation and addition

Conduct existing conditions surveys and prepare architectural base plans, sections, elevations and details as appropriate to document relevant conditions
